FAQs

Will the ashes I get back really be those of my loved one?
ABSOLUTELY. We guarantee that the ashes you get back will be all the ashes and only the ashes of your loved one. We will provide you with a signed certificate as proof of individual cremation. For further information click here.

How do I get my loved one to you?
You can bring your loved one to us (by appointment) or alternatively we can collect your loved one from your home or veterinary practice.

Will my loved one be handled with care and dignity?
Most definitely, we treat all pets as if they were our own.

Hard of hearing clients
If you are hard of hearing please text us on 07557 435 054 and we will get back to you as soon as possible to make arrangements and discuss your requirements.

How do I get my loved ones ashes back?
If you bring your loved one to us you can collect your loved ones ashes after 48 hours or 72 hours if you bring your loved one to us at the weekend (by appointment).

Alternatively if we collected your loved one from your veterinary practice and you do not wish to come to Sunnyfields, your ashes will personally be returned to your home or veterinary practice within one week.

Can I visit the crematorium?
YES. You are very welcome to visit the crematorium at any time. Please kindly make an appointment so we can give you and other people the privacy you all deserve.

What if my loved one dies in the evening or at weekend?
We will do our best to help you the best way we can please contact our mobile number 07557 435 054.

What if my loved one dies while I am on holiday?
You can still make arrangements through us so that we can collect your loved one for you and cremate according to your wishes. We can hold them here until you return home, Then we can either bring them home personally or alternatively you can collect them from us.

What services do you offer?
Please see our services page for full details. We do however try to fulfil any wish you may have. Please do not hesitate to ask.

What are your opening hours?
We are open 9am 5pm Monday to Friday and Saturday and Sunday mornings until 12pm.

There is also an emergency mobile number 07557 435 054 for you to call after opening hours if you need to speak to someone.

Can I bury the ashes of my loved one?
Yes you can bury the ashes of your pet after cremation in either a Scatter Pouch (which is biodegradable) or a wooden casket.

If you wish to have a marker for your pet please contact us for details.

Can I scatter the ashes in your garden of Remembrance?
Yes if you do not want the ashes of your loved one home with you we can scatter your ashes for you in our garden of remembrance.

Do you have a Book of Remembrance?
Yes we do there is one in the Chapel of Rest and also online. Plus if you wish to bring a photo of your friend along with a few words we can place them in our Chapel of Rest Photo album, for you along with a few words of your choice. If you cannot come to Sunnyfields personally or if you forget to bring a photo and words with you, you can post them to us at the address on our contact page or alternatively send an email with your attached photo and a few words to:- claire@sunnyfieldspetcrematorium.co.uk
